Kentish Downs on the grow

In December 2019, Kentish Downs Poll Dorset Stud was purchased by Craig and Karen Wilson. The stud runs on "Yarragundry West" a property situated along the banks of the Murrumbidgee River, 15 minutes west of Wagga Wagga in the Riverina.

Since purchasing the Kentish Downs Poll Dorset Stud, Craig and Karen have expanded the breeding ewes from 440 to over 1000, focussing on the right balance of structural integrity and performance traits utilising industry leading genetics to maximise profit right through the entire Prime Lamb supply chain.

In April this year, Craig and Karen secured a long term lease of a neighbouring well presented property "Glenburn" (pictured below). The combination of "Glenburn" & "Yarragundry West" will complement and secure the future operations of the stud.

"With mature trees, fertile soils, ample shedding and livestock facilities "Glenburn" adds to the capacity of our business to supply industry leading genetics in large numbers", Karen Wilson said.
