"We've been using low to moderate birth weight Kentish Downs rams for the past couple of years over our small to medium frame fine wool ewes. We find that ewes start lambing 5 to 10 days earlier than expected. Our ewes have no trouble lambing and the lambs grow exceptionally well from there."

"We are very pleased with the performance of our rams that we have purchased from  Kentish Downs Poll Dorset Stud. Over the past few years, we have noticed a significant decline in the number of ewes having difficulty at birth since introducing Kentish Downs genetics. Using rams with breeding values for birth weight means we have more live lambs at weaning and less mortalities in our ewe flock."

"Since changing to Kentish Downs genetics two years ago we have been able to decease our ewe mortality rate from 6% at lambing down to 2% by buying rams with low birth weights for our merino ewes. Our lambing % and survival rate has increased remarkably. I have been very pleased with the results so far and the performance of the Kentish Downs rams."

“For the past two years I have purchased my ram lambs from Kentish Downs. Our conception rate in the ewes mated to the ram lambs was very good, and the rams have grown out well. I see this purchase as a profitable and productive decision for our business to increase the number of lambs that we can get from our rams over their lifetime."
