Kentish Downs was established with a clear vision: to produce Poll Dorset genetics that consistently improve the productivity and profitability of Australian sheep enterprises.
Since acquiring the stud in 2019, we have invested heavily in whole-flock performance recording, DNA technology and independent benchmarking to accelerate genetic gain while remaining focused on the practical needs of commercial producers.
Today, Kentish Downs has grown into one of Australia's progressive Poll Dorset studs, with approximately 1,500 DNA-recorded breeding ewes forming the foundation of our breeding program. Every animal contributes valuable performance information that allows us to make informed, objective breeding decisions generation after generation.
